social media plug-ins
social media plug-ins
General information

Social media plugins usually result in every visitor to a page being immediately recorded by these services with his IP address and his further browser behaviour being logged. This can be done even if you do not press the button.

To prevent this, we use the Shariff method. Our social media buttons only establish direct contact between the social network and you when you click on the respective share button. If you’re already signed in to a social network, you can do this on Facebook and Google+ without another window. On Twitter a popup window appears in which you can still edit the text of the tweet.

You can publish our content on social networks without them being able to create complete surf profiles. The Shariff method is already used by many websites to protect their users.

Facebook

Our site uses plugins from the social network of Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. However, with the Shariff method, Facebook will not know your IP address and your visit to our website until you press the button. If you activate the plugin while logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign your use to your user account.

We have no knowledge of and no influence over the possible collection and use of your data by Facebook. For more information, please see Facebook’s Privacy Policy at

http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php

from it. In addition, for general handling and deactivation of cookies, we refer to our general description in this data protection declaration.

Google +

Our site uses plugins from the social network Google + Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States. However, with the Shariff method, Google will not know your IP address and your visit to our website until you have pressed the button. If you activate the plugin while logged in to Google + at the same time, Google + can assign your usage to your user account.

We have no knowledge of and no influence on the possible collection and use of your data by Google +. For more information, please see Google’s privacy policy at

https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

from it. In addition, for general handling and deactivation of cookies, we refer to our general description in this data protection declaration.

Twitter

Our site uses social networking plugins from Twitter Inc, 795 Folsom Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. However, by using the Shariff method, Twitter only learns about your IP address and your visit to our website after you have pressed the Re-Tweet button.

We have no knowledge of and no influence on the possible collection and use of your data by Twitter. For more information, please refer to Google’s privacy policy at

https://twitter.com/privacy?lang=en

from it. In addition, for general handling and deactivation of cookies, we refer to our general description in this data protection declaration.

Xing

Our site uses the Xing Share Plugin of the social network Xing, XING AG, Dammtorstraße 30, 20354 Hamburg, Germany. If you press this button, your browser connects to Xing to execute the functions of the plugin. However, Xing does not store any personal data about you, nor does it record your use via a cookie.

For more information, please refer to Xing’s privacy policy at

https://www.xing.com/privacy

from it.

YouTube

Our site uses for the integration of videos the provider YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Normally your IP address is already sent to YouTube and cookies are installed on your computer when you visit a page with embedded videos. However, we have included our YouTube videos in the enhanced privacy mode (in which case YouTube will still contact Google’s Double Click service, but Google’s privacy policy does not evaluate personal information). As a result, YouTube no longer stores information about visitors unless they watch the video. If you clicked on the video, your IP address will be transmitted to YouTube and YouTube will know that you have watched the video. If you are logged in to YouTube, this information will also be associated with your user account (you can prevent this by logging out before viewing the video on YouTube).

We have no knowledge of and no influence on the possible collection and use of your data by YouTube. For more information, please see YouTube’s privacy policy at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ In addition, for general handling and deactivation of cookies, we refer to our general description in this data protection declaration.

In accordance with our legal obligations, we would like to inform you about the collection and use of your personal data.

General information

On this website, personal data of the user is only collected within the framework of the applicable data protection law. This requires either legal permission or your consent. A legal permission exists in particular for inventory and usage data. If we obtain your consent to further use of data, we will inform you in detail about how your data will be used. We will delete your data insofar as this is permitted or required by law or its storage is no longer necessary for the use of our website and our offers.

Inventory data and advertising

We only collect inventory data, i.e. personal data of the user, insofar as they are necessary for the establishment, content design or modification of a contractual relationship between us and the user. Before sending advertising, we will ask you for your explicit consent, unless it concerns advertising for similar products that you have already purchased. This is particularly the case if you give us your consent to receive our newsletter or if you fill out a contact form.

If you fill out a contact form or send us an e-mail or other electronic message, your details will be stored for the processing of the enquiry, possible follow-up questions or other related questions, and will only be used within the scope of the enquiry. We will delete your e-mail address after your request has been processed.

usage data

Furthermore, we collect usage data, i.e. personal data of the user, only in order to enable and invoice the user to use the services on this site. A consolidation of usage data is only carried out by us if this is necessary for billing purposes. Otherwise we will only create usage data pseudonymously and only if you have not objected to it. You can send this objection at any time to the address given in the imprint or to the person responsible named in this data protection declaration.

Passing on to third parties

We don’t like spam any more than they do. We will therefore under no circumstances pass on your data to third parties, unless this is necessary for the use of this website or the fulfilment of our contractual obligations or we are legally required by a state or an authority to surrender your data.

Transfer abroad, especially to the USA

Our website uses external providers based outside the EU for various functions. In particular, cookies, active Java scripts and other techniques may result in the processing and storage of your data outside the EU. However, we will not pass on your data to a third country unless the EU Commission has established a similar level of data protection as in the EU or you have informed us of your consent or we have agreed the standard contractual clauses with the provider to protect your data. For the USA, the Privacy Shield Agreement

see https://www.privacyshield.gov/welcome

has again established adequate data protection under certain conditions. For more information about your rights with each transfer of data to the USA mentioned below, see

http://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/document/citizens-guide_en.pdf“

Information, blocking and deletion of your data

You can request information from us at any time and free of charge about the personal data we have stored about you. You can also object to the collection, use or further storage of your personal data at any time. We will then immediately correct, block or even delete your personal data.

Changes to the data protection declaration

If a change to the data protection declaration becomes necessary, we will update this page accordingly.

Server Log Files (access statistics)

Each time you use this website, our provider collects information such as: IP address of the visitor, the page from which you visited our site, the name of the page accessed, the exact time of access and the amount of data transferred. These data are only used for statistical purposes and do not allow any identification of you as a user.

gravatar

WordPress also uses Gravatar by default to assign you an avatar if necessary. Your IP address will be transmitted. For data protection reasons we have deactivated the gravatar function here.

For the handling of your data at MailChimp we refer to the privacy policy of MailChimp. MailChimp will only use your data for the dispatch of the newsletter and the evaluation of this dispatch on our behalf. Furthermore, MailChimp will only use your data to improve its own service. Information about your browser, your location and your IP address is transmitted to MailChimp. This information is used to optimize our approach to you.

We use Google Analytics from Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94.043 USA. This is a tool with which the use of websites can be analyzed.
